Just a bit of fun: What is the origin of your user name?

My name is Mike, my wife calls me "mikey" as in the TV commercial, when I do something she considers dumb, and I was a pharmacist ( a real pharmacist-not the streetcorner kind) for 40 years, hence the rx, the old latin notation for pharmacy.

I play cricket , and being the only (at the time) local guy playing on the provincial team I was often referred to as a Son of the Soil by our Assoc President... I liked it so I add my number to it SOTS33

I had a position in the NAVY called a reel operator and received that position at age 19, hence the reelop19. Its nothing fancy but I'm guaranteed nobody will have it and as many forums as I've been a part of over the last 10 years it comes in handy.

Need I say more??!:D

I have been a fan since the show came out(more the Heli than the ACTUAL show!), and my dream was and still is to build an RC version.

Bought a heli, joined a forum and wanted Airwolf as my name, but it was taken already. Being a lazy sod I just added "ie" to it, checked and no one had that name so it stuck!

I'm Airwolfie almost everywhere on forums!

I do have an Airwolf fuselage in my loft that needs building but I haven't gotten round to it yet, got a bike to build!!( Oh yes, and a heli for my friend.......WIP)

Uh...my name is Mick....you can figure out the rest.

Years ago I went offroading in my new to me jeep. It had a snow plow frame on it from when I bought it, but I lifted it and had some 33's on it (bad ass haha) I was driving down a rock trail and a buddy commented that it sounded like a bull dozer driving down the trail bc the plow frame hit every rock. So he started calling me DozerDan... just kinda stuck.

That was 14 years ago and in the offroad world I am still know as Dozer. So its what I use.

Mine stems from people saying good golly to me over the years either in reference to my sometimes poor behavior  or the odd things I always seem to be working on in the garage.

When I lived in Nashville, Tennessee, I had a roommate who worked for a record label. He did a lot of the schlep work so one of his weekly tasks was to pick up concert posters from the print shop and hang them around town. Often times, posters advertised the artist and their latest release and left a blank spot at the bottom to write in promotional information, i.e. concert or event date, venue, and time (if you've ever lived in a big city or college town, you know what I'm talking about). My roommate also worked as a dishwasher at a busy cafe, so when he picked up hundreds of "blank" posters after a long shift at the cafe, he'd throw them in the trash in favor of getting some rest.

With all these extra flyers laying around our place, we'd occasionally draw on them with black markers when we were drunk or bored, filling in fake information about fictional events, musicians, and concert venues. Being fans of heavy metal, we'd color in corpse paint over the faces of these country music hopefuls, blending the elements of country and metal. We'd change names like "Kyle Park" to read "KVLT DARK". One such fictional venue to appear on a series of posters was the "Abysmal Tailgate," combining elements of good ole boy tailgates, and the dismal, occult... unfortunately, I can't spell and wrote "abyssmal" hahaha

"Brass Neck": Someone who is shameless, has nerve; Rude yet confident behavior but may not be able to understand that their behavior is unacceptable to others.

In my youth I discovered a band called The Wedding Present, an Indie Rock band in the UK. They had a song called, "Brassneck". The definition of which kind of fit me back in the day...and have used the username on every forum I belong to since I can remember.

Still love the band! It's not their best song in my opinion...but still a good one:

Two of my favorites from them:

Year of birth + the phonetic spelling of my last name = 59Tebo. (One of those Canadian names with too many letters in it...)

Started in high school, I was one of a very few that knew anything about cars. Plus, I sold wrenches for my part time job after school.
