I stumbled upon this TCI replacement unit online: Carmo Electronics
Anybody heard of these guys? It looks like a nice and cost effective ignition replacement / upgrade for the '80-'84 bikes.
They also offer a repair service for the Hitachi units.

I am in no way affiliated with this company - looking to see if anybody here knows about this company / product.

Certainly looks to be a good option and the prices seem fair. Think i would prefer to have this with the crank mounted pic-up than replace with a Pamco with E-Advance, Cheaper as well if converting to the Pamco on the factory TCI motors

Well, I should hope after 30 + years someone has accumulated tech to make a plug and play box.
But I do know that my 3 30+year old boxes still work just fine. I guessed in 30 years we will see? They promise smoother app, but.....real world testing is what these new units seem to need. I see stock ign boxes under $200 often.
