It' been six months since I last rode my Yamaha. Other than looking at it as a piece of art in my eyes, I need to sell it as I don't have the garage space to keep it around any longer.

Some of the specs; engine is early 256 with compression release, 277 re-phased, new valve guides, new stainless valves, new third oversized pistons and rings, new seals through-out engine, Pamco Pete ignition, PMA alternator, single Mikuni carb, and kick start only.
Frame is modified to single down tube, raised 2" and stretched 4", David Bird looped hardtail 4" drop; 6" stretch, 23" rims front and rear, powder coated rims and drums, PC on frame, homemade springer front fork, and leaf spring seat spring.
Tank is from an XT500 enduro. My friend pin striped the bike for me.

I have a whole build thread on this site, Just look up threads in my user name, I'm sure you can all figure it out. Looking to get $4000.00 for it. Trades plus cash will be considered. Interested in Dual sports in good condition. I'm not going to deliver, or ship it anywhere. You need to arrange that your self. If interested, contact me through PM here.

A couple pictures to wet your apatite.

Lots of views, no comments? Thought there'd be some interest. Doubt you could build a bike yourself or commission a build for the asking price on this one.

Hey plane.ben......awesome looking bike. I built a springer from scratch and it was a bitch to the correct shock and rebound.....three tries and several drill bits going through leafsprings. i just finished up a build with a banana girder front end.....i like whacky frontend and have a joe wiseguy 2 into 1 intake and would like to know what carb and jetting that you are using? Thanks....WRMDOVR

I was just looking at your bike. Very cool! I'm running a Mikuni 38mm carb, an old VM model with no accelerator pump. I think my main jet is a #145, not sure on the rest. I have a big flat spot transitioning from low throttle to high when the weather is cold. Need to find a good pumper carb if I end up keeping it

Awesome looking build! Wish I could get it but I just started another build. GLWS!

nice cohesive look with your build, you put a lot of work into it. like the skinny wheels. i'm going to use a 21" /19" set of motocross wheels on my next build as that's a good place to take weight off.

is that a through-hole drilled in your downtube for the gas tank mount? kind of a high stress area...

i'd probably try a 36mm Mikuni for higher average gas/air velocity, and every jet and the jet/needle relationship is critical to get the whole power band smoothed out. might be somewhat complicated by the short header to collector length.

built bikes are hard to sell here, btw... and in general these days unfortunately.

Thanks barncat. Yes the tank mount is just a threaded hole on both sides of the down tube. They are far enough down not to be stress risers. I'm not concerned with over 3000 miles ridden since completion.
If I end up keeping the bike I want to try a 36mm carb, possible a 36mm pumper.
Your also right about sales. Doesn't seem to be much action here. I'm going to put up a local and Phoenix Craig's List ad this weekend.
As a last note I would trade this for a decent 650 single dual sport. Preferably Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, or Yamaha in that order of preference.
