What landmark do you see out your window from work or from home?
I took a break and looked out a window nearby and could see Camelback Mountain and Skyharbor Airport.

I recall back in the '60's, friends of my parents had a backyard view of Camelback Mountain.

Again in the '60's, I could see the San Jacinto Battle Monument across Scott's Bay from my uncle's place.

On my place here, is an aboriginal flint quarry, artifacts dating back about 4,000-6,000 years. Have to look down to see those things...

I look due North and see Double Cone islands in the Great Barrier Reef marine park, turn 90 degrees and have a view of the Conway ranges, a National park with spectacular views when the sun setting ...

My living room window faces north. I see Mt lemon and the Catilina Mts. A-10C's Warthogs of the 355TFW and the EC-130's based at Davis-Monthan AFB fly over my house. Does that make them "skymarks"?

The Prospect Harbor lighthouse. No longer operational, but maintained as a landmark.

looking north, can see the golden gate bridge from the roof of my house - looking south, sutro tower from the living room windows.

Yer welcome, Dawg!
I was stationed in Pensacola for 5 years, worked at Corry Station, lived aboard NAS. Been to Milton a few times on business!

To the west, I can see the Olympic Mountain Range. To the right, I can see the Cascade Mountain Range. If I take a short walk to the top of the building I'm on, I would see Puget Sound, Mount Rainier and Mount Baker. Right now the sun is rising over the Cascades, but I'm stuck in the job shack.

at work--north expansion lot planned for our company(astec).
south---second verse same as the first
east---mt rainier piercing the sky at 14,000+ ft
west---medallion food company across the street.

Home---north vast wilderness and the Olympics
south---neighbors(I keep the shrubbery tall over there)
east---2 geese, 7 chickens, 3 toms
west----miniature mule, and a standard breed.
good thread.

Not much really
South is the shed of ill repute.
North the Baraboo valley.
West the horseys in the pasture
East the Baraboo bluffs.

At home, I can see bits of Camelback and South Mountains and another bunch of hills. The Camelback of which gracer speaks.

At work, I'm inside a historic, nationally registered Orpheum Theatre. There's a Frank Lloyd Wright building across the street.

Littlebill31, I'm rather familiar with your South Mountain as well. Over the last year I've spent a cumulative eight or nine weeks in Hagerstown.

At work looking NE, I can see the GM headquarters building - the Renaissance Center, and looking SW - I can see the Ambassador Bridge between Windsor, ON and Detroit MI. It is the busiest border crossing between Canada and the US carrying more than 15,000 trucks/day and nearly $2B in trade daily.

At home, I can see the backyard with our crazy golden doodle dog running around like a maniac enjoying the autumn leaves blowing in the breeze.
