Maybe i'm over anxious, but it has been more than a week since I ordered my Pamco, and I don't think it has shipped out yet (my email was not answered) I'm afraid to send another email cause I don't want to bother the guy, especially if he's super busy making my Pamco ;-)
Do they usually take this long to ship? Just wondering

From what I have dealt with and heard its a little varied if you order directly from PamcoPete. He's a one man show so things may take a little bit longer but know that you're supporting a good guy. I understand that we would love if things came over night but I would expect 3-5 days before it may ship just from my own experience. Since its been a little longer than that just shoot him a PM on here and Im sure he will get back to you in a reasonable time.

Hope that helps ya out but the pamco is the real deal and Pete is a stand up guy.

Pete is a stand up guy. Give him a bit more time. Shipping distance may be a factor too.

Thanks guys. I live in Michigan, and suddenly the weather has become unseasonably warm for late October, and I'm itching to get in some more riding before the snow hits.

I have an order in house for an '80 to '83 kit from someone in Michigan. I presume that is you? That kit is basically made to order and we are currently in the process of assembling a few of them, so your order will ship soon. I apologize for the delay.

PAMCO now has at least 12 different motorcycle ignition systems offered including the XS650 standard, XS650 E-Advancer, XS650-277, XS650 '80 to '83 kit, XS400 standard, XS400 E-Advancer, XS400 E-Advancer HD, CB350, CB360, CB450 (all E-Advancer), CB750, CB500, CB550, CB350F, CB400F and KZ650. There are some custom variations to some of these as well, so the whole thing keeps me busy. I do not personally assembly any of these products as the quantities are getting up there, so the assembly is contracted out (in the US) as well as the manufacturing of all of the component parts. PAMCO products are distributed by 4 distributors and sold world wide either directly or through distribution. Sources of parts are all based in the US. PC boards from Colorado, metal parts from a local machine shop, magnets from Arkansas, electronic components from a distributor in SC and final assembly in South Carolina.

Pete I don't feel to like your post is enough. Thanks for your support of the economy and America's people.

system9,

Shipped a '80 to '83 kit to area code 48108 today. Is that you?

Here is the '80 to '83 kit. It includes an aluminum road and two brass bushings to provide the function of the advance rod for '80 to '83 models that do not come with the advance rod.

Comes with the PAMCO E-Advancer and plate.

Hi Pete,
nice kit. Except for the crosspoint screws. I hate, loathe and despise crosspoint screws.
To be absolutely clear, the rod and bushings in the 80/83 kit are only there to hold the wizard wheel onto the camshaft as the E-advancer does it's thing?
You know some genius will try to stick a mechanical advancer on the rod's other end, eh?
Even if the installation guide tells him not to.
