I guess it's too late to go for the 'bone stock' award........

I should mention that I just got the 'original' tank back from the painter......the one on it in this picture was just a temporary one I could use while I dialed in the carb jetting. It now has a 'dent-free' tank.....and the thing is almost like a time-capsule!

Thanks for the votes, The 75B is looking great today, for a everyday rider, not too bad, here are a couple of more pictures......

Cheers Mick

Mick & Vitess, I should get my son to post pics of his '75. I 'gifted' the bike to him a few years back, and we completed a complete restoration on it to where it looks just like your two bikes now......FINALLY!! I've got to say, those '75s are really the icons of XS650s in my book! Very nice bikes guys!! Tom D.

I appreciate the nomination a lot for this resto that took me a few years. I bought the barn find 5 years ago for $500 and dismantled it completely, and did all the work myself including the paint. It has a vintage Dyna ignition, and stock engine internals. I built Pete's design rectifier from Radio Shack parts and used a VR-727 regulator. Hand polished the cases. I rebuilt the clutch, forks, and carbs. Original seat, Euro bars,Uni filters.

Now get your photos to Shawn! You will need 4 high quality photos of your bike with no logos or watermarks and your name, location, bike year/model. The photo requirements for the last couple of years have been at least 3375 x 2625 pixels, but Shawn will have the final say on that this year as well.

I wish to thank all the forum members for their votes for my entry this year.
This is a fantastic group of builders and their bikes to be associated with.
