Hello everyone,
New member here. I know it's a long shot, as I know how rare they are, but I'm looking for an XS1 front drum brake in excellent condition (no missing parts no rust) preferably polished and ready to go. I can pay $500.00 plus shipping to Las Vegas. Maybe more, if it's in exceptionally pristine condition. Don't need a rim, mounting hardware etc.

Thanks Gary, an SR drum is my plan b, if I don't find an XS one (which is very likely) I may make them an offer. Those are really nice.

It's been a day, and no response from Hugh's. I think it's safe to say someone got to it before me. Unfortunate, but not at all surprising. Oh well... back to my original offer I suppose... Five benjies for one in good shape plus shipping costs.

Thanks Mackels, That's very tempting. Since I'd be lacing this drum to an XS rim, does anyone happen to know if the spoke length/angle on these SR drums is the same as an XS?
 
I was able to find one through Craigslist, in the CL depository thread. I contacted a guy about a bike. Unfortunately the bike was gone, but it turned out he had a drum from a 71 in storage (who would've thought). Anyway, I offered him 400 shipped. It's on it's way to me now.
I'll post some pics, when I get it.

I've got this one that I've been saving for a build, but could use the money now as I'm in between jobs.... It's complete to the brake handle.
