hello, i recently got a convertion kit from TC BROS for a DNA springer and in the instructions they say to keep the old dust seals from the old bearings BUT i had to throw mine out because they were in bad shape. Is there any way to buy JUST the dust seals? Does anybody know?

Thanks in advance!

is this from top and bottom? I thought the seals were just like this

or that black seal comes first and then that bearing cover comes next.

Those aren't stock bearings, they are tapered roller bearings which are aftermarket. If you want to new dust seals for tapered bearings, I would look at All Balls and see if they sell them. The one's I posted are for a stock neck.

Number 1 is the only seal on the stock xs...

What you're showing are the seals for the tapered roller bearings. What Bill linked to is the original lower seal for the stock ball bearings. There was only one used, on the bottom. If you're installing an aftermarket springer then I have no idea what bearings or seals it needs, probably not stock ones. Maybe TC Bros. can help?

Yeah i got to figure out that I dont need the stock seal, i need the aftermarket seals. What I need to know is if I can buy them alone instead of buying the whole kit. I dont need the bearings, i just need the dust seals.

FWIW,
I salvaged the stock crowded ball race lower seal when I upgraded my Heritage Special to tapered rollers and the new tapered roller lower inner race worked with it just fine.
What I also did was to drill & tap the frame's headrace tube M6 top & bottom to accept grease nipples and slid a urethane foam sleeve over the steering stem to reduce the space the grease had to fill. Even then it took half a gunfull before the grease oozed out top & bottom.

Do you have a picture of how it looks like?
