Just a bit of fun: What is the origin of your user name?

Two questions:
BOB - do you really live in a California town called "Weed"? I thought the only place with that name was in British Columbia...;)
FRED: isn't your last name "Hill"? But there are no hills in Saskatoon, are there? An odd paradox (but of course there likely aren't any docks there either)....hmmmmm. :D
OK - I will stop now.

Hi Pete,
about weed, you better stop smoking the stuff.
It may be about to be legalized but until it is the OPP are busting every toker they can find as it's far safer than arresting actual criminals.
And yes there are hills in Saskatchewan but you have to drive North of the TransCanada to see them. There's also a half-column of Hills
in the Saskatoon phone book. Some of them are effin' millionaires but alas I ain't one of them.
Ain't you seen our licence plates from a year or so back? "Land of the living skies" these days but "Land of 10,000 lakes" back then.
You can bet your arse every one of those lakes has at least one pair of docks in it.
And while you may have stopped, I have only just started.

I'm a UPS driver....Not!
30 long years working for the Post Office.

On a different forum I was El Diablo Negro
( The Black Devil ) in honor of my Chihuhua. Haha. But that's a pain in the ass to type in.
PS that's not my nice little pooch.

I bought a new '71 Pursang from a dealer going out of business in '72 which started me racing flat track. I have owned other Pursangs, an Astro, and a Sherpa T.
I still have a brand new '78 125 Streaker I bought new and never started. A friend started calling me Mr. Bultaco every time he came to the house.

That little streaker is a cool looking little bike.
You're not the only Bultaco obsessed person I've ever met. They were exceptional bikes!

Evidently I am dyslexic and thought that Bultaco read Butalco (boo tal co); which in my mind sounds more distinct and will stay that way..for me at least

Well done 2M...graphics...thumbs-up
It has always amazed me when I check the new posts and find a new/old thread...what imaginations I find on this forum.
Had to weigh in. BTW: the thumbs-up in the logo means #1 in Spanish

I like it...I don't recognize the tail section unless the photo angle is weird. I must be a Pursang around '68-'70. My 1st one was model #48 set up like yours with spool wheel. (except for TT)

My neighbor had a Bultaco when I was a kid. We were riding with him one day when it detonated itself, I swear it was the loudest boom I ever heard. We were in Grayling Michigan, right next to the training grounds and artillery ranges, thought we may have been in a restricted area. We towed him back to the campground that we were staying at. He couldn't find anything wrong with it, he knew this bike well. He started it up and rode it the rest of the weekend without any problems.

Sad thing is, it was a prospect for me for $150. Dad said it wasn't a prospect after it detonated itself.

Mr. Bultaco:

It's amazing that you have a 40 year old bike that has never even been started.....how did you resist, especially the day you brought it home?
....let alone every single day ever since?
