Free TVs from the roadside. The bottom is honeycomb from a TV. The box will have a strap on cover that will resemble a small leather/vinyl saddlebag. The rectifier will be attached under the box.

That battery box is beautiful MTW - can you tell us about it?

Not really beautiful, but it was designed to be covered with vinyl. That last panel had not yet been attached. Every component can be unfastened and removed because of that window and hole in the panel. Also the window should allow me to check components and fuses and stuff wires in. There will be no fuse box, just inline blade fuses. There will be vent/drain holes in the bottom and I expect to be able to remove the cover to wash it out. The pictures don't show that the seams are glued/welded with ABS glue three times each, once when clamping together and then on each side of the seam. The battery will have a strap and vent hose, there will be no top on the box.

You must have a Hard tail that the box is going into eh ? because it's fairly big.... I bet it's going to be a bugger to get all wired up !
if you can,.... leave enough wire on the hookups so you can pull the box out with it all hooked up so you can work on stuff ! that would be really handy that way..... just a thought !
Well done !

The easiest source of flat ABS is a Luthier's Supplies. Electric guitar pick guards are ABS. Most stores sell it in 2mm thick sheets.
Like here - http://www.stewmac.com/Materials_and_Supplies/Pickguard_Materials/Black_Pickguard_Material.html
The best solvent to use is M.E.K. - methyl ethyl ketone. Sold in hardware stores as Plumber's primer for the plastic pipes they use these days. Get the strongest available.
And for the "dust " try here - http://www.plastex.net/PLASTEX_POWDER_REFILLS.php
Have a look through their methods. I've used this them to successfully repair fairings and modify an ABS front fender so I can fit a fork brace. You can make almost perfect copies of those little plastic lugs on the inside of fairings.

i finally got around to painting that home made lower left side plate with flat black.... Only color besides green that I had !
heheheh
anyway although ya can't see it very well here is a shot of the front side of the bike with it's lower side cover on .
