Lol. With all the bikes you flip, you may want to check out a couple of these. Granted, not a quality o-ring but certainly better than what you have. I got a couple and they look nice, haven't tried one out yet though. The guy combines shipping and will send you 2 for about $8. That's less than $20 a chain .....

umm yeah, what could go wrong......... guy in wisland sells a set with both sprockets to my door $70ish, used him before. Think I'll root through the bins a bit. Sometimes farm and fleet stocks the better quality diamond #50 chain.

I may have mentioned before that getting the spline washer just right...... or I guess brute force can get it done also.

Hi 5T,
you sure about that price? The link sez US$14.99 for the chain plus US$24.99 for shipping.
Even at US$39.94 delivered that's a fair price for a non-O-ring motorcycle chain but if it's Ag chain that's been re-boxed for Harley owners, not so much.

Fred, you're in Canada so shipping is higher. It shows as $7.15 for me for one, but like I said, there's a good shipping discount on 2.

Little hammer n file work she's good to go. MIGHT need a push rod seal...

I was messing around with some button heads on the side covers, drops the wrench size from 5mm to 4mm which is not so great. What do you think?

Brownie points..................Think the mixture is a bit lean......

The screw heads aren't as deep................more chance of damage.......not that i would think you would .............

I'd stay with the bigger SHCS.

The little buttonheads fasteners look cute but the bigger ones have stronger heads and will take more torque (if they stay on a long time and any corrosion builds up).

JMO.

I do like the button heads on the points/advance housing covers and on the alt. cover ......

For the big side covers, I prefer the regular Allens, heads painted black. I think they look good on a polished cover.

Yes - me too.

I've seldom seen a set of those big JIS screws on the points, advance and alternator covers that do not have heads that are either rusty or chewed up from people using Phillips drivers on them.

The buttonheads would cure that problem and bring some aesthetic unity to the look of the engine because they have a female hex socket like the SHCS on the engine case side covers.

Fred Ebay has an automatic shipping calculator based on the venders and your location. Not all venders use it. Your link shows $7.15 shipping to me.

I can go with the 3-tone rattlecan job, but does she really want to keep the rototiller bars? You need some mid-rise tracker bars or some stock bars on there I think.

DO NOT TRUST the eBay shipping calculator!!!! I stopped selling all the stock and leftover parts from my bike altogether because it kept telling me $3.15 and after people paid and I went to ship, turns out it cost $14.50. I even emailed and callled eBay bout this and their response was basically "yeah, we know it sucks".
