I have ordered numerous things from China over the years, usually through EBay, and the results are so mixed. I have ordered a couple sets of mirrors that are very nice.
Recently I ordered a couple little white LED bullit lights , that I just received , that were so crappy I threw them right in the trash.
When I was rebuilding my charging system I ordered a rectifier that was rediculously inexpensive and was amazed that it was delivered to my mail box just ten days after ordering it. Later I thought it would be a good idea to have a couple spares, so I ordered two more, and they took THIRTY days to arrive. So inconsistent.
The sheer variety of items available and the unbelievably low prices keep sucking me in, but it really is a crap shoot.

Hi Mailman,
Chinese technology is capable of excellent work, their aircraft, for instance, are as good as anybody's.
They can also build down to a price.
And produce all the paperwork needed to show that it's the good stuff.
Including the necessary provenance to show that a Chang-Jiang motorcycle
(these guys:- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chang_Jiang_(motorcycle) )
was built before the import cut-off date even if it's paint is still wet.

tried buying through aliexspress , but gave up ..found some (a lot) were factory seconds (but not advertised as such) crushed or non existent packaging and not a chance due to cost of sending any mistakes back .. found in long run cheaper to buy in oz or western countrys through ebay etc .. as the cartoon says if it looks to good etc.. pity because a lot of good products are coming out of china..bit like when japan was tooling / manufacturing up and a lot of there products were a joke but look at them now

That darned 5twins got me started on banggood. Good, fast, cheap, pick two, sometimes only get one. Most of the small stuff comes via Seychelles Islands, scratches head. I even have used several of the stainless teflon brake lines, no problems so far. Shipping is a crapshoot, often times by the time it arrives in the mailbox I have no idea what I ordered, like Christmas year around... Often this stuff costs less INCLUDING shipping than what it would cost just to mail it within the USA.

^I'd like to try the brake line but I don't see one described as Teflon.

Yeah but all the SS lines are teflon cored. Just converted a royal star venture to FJR calipers and a smaller MC, with 2 ss lines from banggood, Went from 2 pistons per caliper to four and dropped quite a bit of brake parts weight, MC went from 5/8" down to 14mm, 22% less MC area into twice the pistons, now a nice light pull, no mush. actually just got an adjustable lever I gotta put on, the lever was too far out for best finger pull. Bike's still a 900 pound pig but at least I can stop it without using both hands on the lever, yelling WOAH  WOAH!

I just installed my SS line from Banggood. Great fit and has to be better than my old lines that were produced in 1976.. Coupled with Vesrah Sintered pads and I can stop. Shipping took a while, but the product seems to be pretty good.

I've actually been eyeballing some things in banggoods website also. I can't resist!

PS Got some good parts from partsgiant.com lots of XS650 specific stuff, sprockets etc. mostly free shipping, 3 separate orders got to me in 2 days flat!
