Banggood? For brake hose?
Not sure I'd go cheap on life-safety stuff. While I have had good luck with some import stuff (foot pegs, valve covers, headlight brackets) from far away lands, I would not bet my life on their long term or short term quality. China exporters managed to f'up drywall a few years ago. How the hell can you f'up drywall??? Then there was the dog food, then the lead paint on kids toys, then the diethylene glycol in the toothpaste, etc. Here's a rather scary article on our import dependence on Chinese foodstuffs...

sigh; they don't need nukes...
Back to brake hose... We used to have an indy shop here in Tucson doing radiator repair and making custom DOT lines. $25-30 each, your choice of color - although you often had to settle for the DOT labelled hose colors that he had in stock. After he made up each one his DOT license required he test each piece. He had a hydraulic tester that required annual certification, hooked up the hose, and it had to hold 4000 psi (yes, 4000!) for 2 minutes. I had him make several hoses for me over the last couple years. Shame he retired. Once he bailed, our local Beemer dealer is (AFAIK) the only close source. Will be seeing them next week for some hoses on the XS.
In the search for truth, I typed in DOT in the search engine on that site: got a bunch of hits: polka dots, dot matrix, red dot laser, dot diodes, dot candy...
