I have a problem that when I look at "New posts" they go away and are not there when I come back to look for them..... so if I'm making a post and go get a link and come back it's nowhere to be found..... so what's up with that and How do I tell it to not do that ????

WER has your answer Bob. 'New Posts' are whatever has been posted since you last visited the site. So if you leave to get a link and then come back, only what 's new since you left or what you haven't read yet will be under the 'New Posts' heading. You can always go to 'Recent Posts' or 'Recent Activity' and find the thread you were just dealing with if it was a relatively recent one.
 
Once you've read a post, it's not NEW any more. I don't remember if there's a setting to turn that off or change it. The post will still exist, it just won't appear as NEW. You can go back to the Forums tab and look for it there. Should be fairly near the top if it was new, but a lot depends on how often you visit.If I don't visit for a while, there may be eight or nine pages of new posts. Also, if you reply, it will be added to your watched threads, so you can come back to it that way. Click on Forums > Watched Threads and then look for the link that says All Watched Threads. It defaults to only unread.
 
yup,yup ! Well I visit about 30 times a day plus or minus a dozen or so ! LOL
if I see a post that is a day or two old that asks a question I will try to answer it wright or wrong if no one else has replied !

LOL ! No sir ! I gave that up years ago I figured if they wanted to read my mind it's going to do them more damage than me !
LOL..... I wonder though if having aluminum foil in the lining of your helmet would foil radar guns ???? :laughing:
