Hi all, I just picked up an 83' XS650 that someone else started building into a Bobber using a rigid frame by? I have some interesting plans for this build. My first/last bike build was back in 76', and was a 69' Triumph 650 Bonny, hard tail, king/queen seat, raked. Wish I still had that one. My last build was a 31' Model A Streetrod that I still drive.

So, my question is do we have a history section where I might find specific questions already asked so I don't upset anyone with the same old...same old? I will have a bunch of questions on converting to kick-start only, just to start with.

Welcome, nice to have a fellow Granite Stator (pun intended) on the site. Yes, the Search Function on the upper right hand corner is what you'll be looking for. If you're on your phone it is the magnifying glass in the upper right hand corner. I wish my company used a search function like this place does. There is a Tech section also that goes over many of the details that you'll likely want to know about.
We like pictures here especially if you have a question on a "What's this?" or a "Where does this go?" type questions. There are many good build threads. Some of us put the bike info in the signature line to help with diagnostics.

Give this a try:

Hit the search button, and do "more".
Select the "tags" tab.
A tags field will appear below.
Click on "build".
Then, click on the page "25", taking you to the older threads.
You can now progress backwards to newer threads.
Find thread titles of interest.
Especially look at the "replies" counts.
Threads with more than 20 replies have an abundance of info...
