I always thought the above were what motorcycles were supposed to look like.

That doesn't look like a JPS Norton, we were just talking about them yesterday. Does it run? I see new carbs on there, timing cover off......

73 TX650, followed by a number of bikes I loved. The wonderful Norton, Cal II Guzzi from the early 80's, the GT750 Water Buffalo, several of the R90's. My old 82 GS1100, the early V-Max, I still like the early monoshock Virago. Honda's 900 Custom. My son's new V7 Guzzi and nephew's big Indian are really good lookers. I liked the looks of the RD Yamaha lineup. I like a lot of stuff, but when I win the lottery the 1st bike I buy is that Water Buffalo. Never got past that.

Beauty, right? practicality, rideability and cost not an issue.
Series C Vincent then a 2-speed Scott, & in 3rd place, a Featherbed frame International Norton.
Next discussion:- weird bikes. My first pick, the Megola.

Ah, I was wondering when we would get around to this thread! I have a notion to put a Honda Pacific Coast on here just for Mick! Haha!

Just happen to already have some on my computer!

Interesting..........................I just noticed that the Norton has the rear shock angle very similar to my 1978 Special. Actually the Norton shock appears to have even more angle that my Special. Seems like that shock angle is part of the reason why both bikes handle so well!

Retired, the shocks are the same length too! when i put my commando together i mocked it up with xs shocks while i waited for hagons to come in. i actually have the old girlings i took off of it. I'm half temped to clean them up for use on my stock 81 xs650.

my bsa will eventually look like this... actually its half the reason i love the xs! look at how similar the motors are haha. the xs650 just has a lot more benefits than the old brit bikes... like no oil everywhere, and they will run longer than 6 months, and they are actually somewhat reliable haha. its the perfect brit bike!

I love BSA scramblers! I was heavy into the British bike scene not that many years ago!

Yes, I found it strange that XS650s were not being posted, and yet this is an XS650 site. C'mon guys! If you don't think your XS650 is the most beautiful bike you have ever seen, why do you ride it?
I guess you all lust after a Norton, a Honda, a Ducati, or a Triumph, but have to settle for an XS650.
Well, that's not me. I think my 1978 XS650 is the most beautiful bike on any highway in the world. I was just out riding my bike today, in the great weather we are having. It starts perfect and runs perfect. A thoroughly reliable and enjoyable bike. Over the years, my bike just keeps getting better. I used to get 57 or 58 US MPG, but this year I'm getting 60 US MPG.
