Just made an updated sump filter conversion kit.

Comes with gasket, oil filter, pipe plug, oil filter union and allen bolts to bolt it on. I am asking $190 with shipping included. Also I can get a quote if people want them anodized. All you have to do is bolt it on. Hope you like this new design. I am not responsible for any engine failure once the part is installed. This is a simple and convenient option compared to the original sump filter that breaks practically everytime you ride. Where a new sump filter is 40 dollars and a new filter with my kit is only around 10 dollars where you can get way more than 1 ride out of it. The new design is way nicer looking and alot lighter. Hope you guys like it and are interested in purchasing one!
Thanks,
Megan

Hi, I regret the very uninformed question but what does this look like on the bike? Does this aluminum plate replace the standard filter? Could be interested if you can provide a little more detail. Thank You

Yes it does replace the old filter and plate the overall height is 3.3 in and comes with everything just to bolt it on. I just recently rebuilt my engine so it is not in the frame yet so sorry no pictures, but i can give you any dimensions you would like.

Well done Megan ! Now if you could possibly Mill cooling fins in the thing that would really be neat !
....we need Photo's Kiddo ! LOL
.....
Bob......

Heiden tuning makes a standard sump plate with fins (attached). I've one of his sump kits with the upgraded screen, and it's a pretty nice piece. But a spin on filter could get you a pretty nice improvement in filtration.

I might be in for one of these with cooling fins! Keep us in touch.

The thing with mine is there is an oil passage that runs through the plate but I can try putting fins on it and update with a pic later.

I don't see much advantage with fins on it. I know the plans inside out and realistically the fins would only be on one side or if you made fins up to the internal oil hole on the inlet side, it would take a fir bit of time, .... wouldn't that increase the price ?..........the filter will act as a partial cooler due to it positioning.

Taking things a bit further and maybe extreme........... making a fined heat sink that encased the filter, (sides not bottom), would really act as a cooler

I think it's more looking cool than actually cooling lol. I am designing a drawing now and I will post it in a few.

I made a new design same thing applies all supplies needed just need to bolt it on. I will have to go up on price a little, $180 is sufficient for all the extra work. This one has fins and is counterbored where the filter goes. Hope you like it once a couple people are completely committed I will have a couple on the shelf ready to ship. If your bike uses the kick stand on the side that you can bolt on to the frame(already set up for it), your piece that you order will have a chamfer on that side to allow for the kickstand to move. If you would like to order please send me an inbox message.
Thanks,

Possibly. I've been working with my machinist on a sump nearly identical to this as well, albeit at a much slower pace (4+ months, haha!). Still waiting on his quotes, so you might get some business.
that's what i like to hear. just let me know and i would be more than happy to ship you some.

Would look better if u matched the fins to size width and spread of the bottom block fins....
Have had these saved on phone for awhile planning on doing this myself. Pretty sure they came from here. R these your original drawings?

No these are different plans than I have made. But I couldn't make the changes on my drawing computer was being a pain.
