I've searched the forums but haven't really found anything.

I'm wondering if anyone has had experience narrowing the frame under the seat.

I'm a short person and a lower profile seat will help but honestly standing over the bike with no seat feels uncomfortable.

I'm thinking of I remove the two bars from the bracket (front) and cut the tubing at the back an inch in front of the rear where the lower frame tub meets the loop. I could fabricate a thinner area.
See photo for visual representation.

Has anyone ever had this done or have seen this done?

Hi Xaos,
your proposed frame modification will give you a narrower seat but what you need to accommodate your Duck's Disease is a seat that's lower down.
Google "BratStyle Frame Modification" to find guys who sell seat lowering kits.

while your whittling away bend those bars in a c- shape to lower your butt too ! I think it's a great idea and was thinking of doing that to mine if I ever start hacking on it ! ....

Is your bike stock? if so you will need to narrow what's below the seat as well. The frame side covers, air box ect. need work also.
Lowering the rear of the bike by mounting shorter shocks helps get your feet on the ground.

Nice looking bike James !
I don't like the handle bars like that, but what ever... I really like the seat and rear suspension mods ! very well done !
.....
Did you modify the rear swing arm to take that big tire ? it looks allot wider than stock !
