Hey Guys- I have worked countless unskilled hours on my project and would LOVE to be considered for this amazing calendar list. I should proooobably have posted my build outside of the actual calendar thread, and I will, but for now- here is my 1979 Special with 707 big bore, Pamco, Shell #1 cam, Mike’s 5th geared, motoscope mini, Joe Alphabet headered, Cone Engineered, and 2year life commitment XS project.

Thank you PETE, for the nomination and thank you MAILMAN for the second, truly honored...but I was in the 2016 calendar, and as much as I'd love another showing, I'd like to see others get in it. But I appreciate your kind words. Thanks!! Can't wait to see what this year's calendar looks like.

Nice Bikes all, I sincerely mean it.
I'm not surprised that there are so few Bobbers and Choppers n such that nominated so far based on the rules that the build must have been posted to this forum. Because since the forum changed the layout when the new site was launched, which basically took away build threads, which was a pretty awesome part of this Forum that i enjoyed perusing occasionally, now it seems to be geared more for standard unmodified bikes, and slightly modified bikes. The only builds posted I see mainly here now is if the bike was posted in the yearly build off thread, or sometimes a album pic, and that's too bad. Maybe i'm not aware of where these new build threads are that have been added since the new site launched.
I guess the calendar will mainly be unmolested (as the crumudgeons prefer) XS's and slightly modified XS's.
If that is how it ends up, it would be too bad, and then i may not buy a calendar this year.
I think the main thing the majority love about this bike is the Engine, the Looks and Bullet Proofness of it.
I think it is a beautiful thing in any format i.e. Brat, Chopper, Bobber, Tracker and so on, and yes i like the standard unmolested xs's too, it's just that my preference leans toward the chopped and Bobbed.
I want to see more of them nominated and seconded for this calendar and I would love it if the Forum brought it back. If theres some here who don't like it too bad. don't look at it.
That is if it was brought back
Anyways, good luck to all who gets nominated and I hope to see more modified n Chopped bikes nominated.

Yes I was having trouble finding the right category for build threads as well. I’d call my bike a Bratfé I guess. No category for that either.

If you're nominating yourself phaedrus, I'll second it. That's a pretty cool
"brat-fe". And I really dig that color combo.
There are some beautiful restorations being nominated on here. As much as love a nice restoration, I gotta nominate some customs. A little diversity will make for a cooler calendar.... I think.
So I'm gonna go with phaedrus's brat-fe, Ryan's chop from Iron Heart Cycles, and I'm gonna throw mine in there for shits n' giggles;)

Well hotdam thanks man! It feels a bit cheeky but hey go for what you want right? So I guess I nominate myself, or shortTRIP does and I second him. Here is a much more processed version of that decent pic and a few others to help define the project. I will attach another from a daylight shot tomorrow in the sun.
