I recently attended the CVMG's fall swapmeet in Red Deer Alberta where a vendor had this 1936 Norton International on display:-
The photo speaks for itself and I'm with Gollum:-
" I wants it ! "

Purists will note the front brake upgrade and that some over-enthusiastic restorer has chromed the oil tank

Ah Yes. Electronics by Lucas, brakes by Gurling, instruments by Smiths, and radio by Phillips. What could possibly go wrong???

No matter what the value, I just couldn't let something like that sit. I'd just have to ride it and get it dirty, I just couldn't help myself. There's a Harley knucklehead downtown in the window of an unused storefront, not for sale, will never be for sale, and will probably never be ridden again, this disturbs me.

Pete. I forgot about the carbs. I had a "Anal Concentric" on my Bultaco.

Fred.....................I thought you were from the UK. "Favourite" is what we use in Canada, instead of Favorite (USA spelling).
My Favourite bike is the XS650 of course.

Hi 'gent,
while I can spell in both Anglo-Canadian and American (and am trilingual in English, Anglo-Canadian and the Bristolian dialect)
you may have noticed that most of our list members are from the USA and perhaps lack our educational advantage?
But while practicality says the XS650 outperforms an Inter-Norton (except on corners) nostalgia still says "I wants it"

Me too baby - gimme that leaky, no lights at night, won't start in the rain thumper!!
