Complete 77d on ebayed. and if you buy it, we better see it here!

They also have a 72 that looks to be all there for $1000, be a better buy..........Also an 81 and 82.

A week ago I was offered a 1977 XS650 all stock and included a 2 into 1 header and xtra guages, bars, exhaust, manuals, etc for $1000. I heard it run and it sounded great. I haven`t gotten back with him yet because personal property tax is due on Dec 20. That`s where I pay $5000 + and get nothing but a receipt. I might contact him tomorrow?

Drug this home a few weeks ago for $400. Everything is there except the air boxes and the clutch lever. Didn't really need another project right now but standards are pretty rare in these parts and I didn't want some kid to destroy it with a saws-all and a rattle can paint job..

Good for you Mike - please keep us posted on your progress getting that nice old bike running again.

Pete

I know nothing about these bikes compared to most people on here, but just looking at that eBay bike ....

Needs: Mufflers (probably headers), front fender, probably tires, probably chain and sprpckets, air filters, side covers, headlight, a ton of wiring, seat (good grief), rear fender, rear light, did I mention a ton of wiring? at least one lever, tank needs to be vinegar'd and who knows if it's even leak proof. Petcock is likely rotten ..... and still $1,200. Ehh ... me thinks not.

Hi Pete,
sure there's parts missing but the seller is a breaker's yard, most likely they can be dickered for.
Tires, chain & sprockets are long-term consumables, you gotta change them anyway sooner or later.
$1,200 is the "buy it now" price. Who knows how little the seller will accept?
