Another PMA not charging question

Not knocking Hugh......Using this as an example.
Comparing the cooling fins

Factory R/R on the right ..........Hughs PMA/CDI R/R in the middle, (think these are single phase), Moffit upgrade for Hughs PMA on the left
Look at the cooling fins in the Factory R/R and this doesn't have to bleed of anywhere near the voltage a PMA set up does. In fact it turns the power on and off not like a PMA R/R that has the extra Voltage continuously being bled into it.

Humm, making notes already on this as I try to resist modifications. My original 2002 BMW alternator works fine but BMW encased that in an enclosure flowing engine coolant and through a coolant..cooler. If I did place something needing lots of air where it could not get it *directly*, I would run a small flexible hose from that direct air to the cooling fins...and give the puppy a chance. my2cents
