I have a XS1B Front Drum brake hub that i plan on lacing into a 18" rim. i have a stock 18 inch 650 rim also a stock 18" TX750 both are rear rims. i was thinking of using a set of stock TX750 rear spokes to lace the drum hub into the rim since the TX750 rear and the XS1B front hub seem to measure about if not the same spoke center to spoke center across the hub. Just thought id see if anyone has done or tried this yet.
Thanks. Photo of my project. 75 650B xs1 Tank TX750 rear wheel. 18 inch 650 rear rim laced to a stock 650 disc hub. will be replaced with XS1B Drum. both front and rear wheels are 18" Honda rebel rear shocks. 10 1/2 "

Bigstick, be mindful of the spoke angles. The large diameter front drum will demand aggressive nipple angles on the rim.

Here's my drum's spoke hole centers:

Here's gggGary's spoke hole "straightener":

How do you plan to attach the brake backing plate to the later forks?
I was leaning toward the TX750 rear rim spoke angles should be close to the same. And the front brake stay I may change the front end or got with the brake stay bracket for the sr500

You have to modify the sr500 bracket to fit in the spot on the later forks. I've done it. Carefull grinding work with a 60 grit disk works quick. Did it to a 1980.

What about the axle will the latter fit in the drum hub? Thanks
