Hi Guys,
I am currently making a set of Marine grade 316 Stainless Steel Cylinder Head Nut, a faithful copy of the OEM ones, these are CNC machined , the thread is roll tapped for extra strength, and will be mirror polished.
I should have a photo up in a couple of days, just testing the water to see if anyone is interested in a set, if there are, I could give a firm price based on numbers.
I am in the UK .

Would maybe be interested, are they 17mm. 10/1.25. Thanks.

You have my attention, stu. Almost all the acorn nuts on "The Basketcase" are corroded beyond salvation. I've seen other reproductions, but I question the thickness/durability of the chrome. Polished stainless solves that....

All done and dusted, feedback welcome.

I believe that the OEM domed nuts started as a 2-piece affair, a long threaded nut, and a welded-on dome. The nut is fully threaded, and the dome has protrusion clearance. Do your domed nuts provide as much thread-on depth?

Yes, the overall height of the nut is 21.25 mm, I’ve drilled them 20.5 deep from the point of the drill bit and they have a full thread depth of 17mm, when I took the original nuts off of my engine I measured the protruding stud length, this was 14m, so plenty of clearance

I have made up some Brass Washers to fit under the Cylinder Head Nuts, I’ve seen these on an another 650 owners bike, so I know they work ok.
