we had a week of over 95 to 101 temps then yesterday a thunderstorm to be remembered ! we got at least 2" of rain by the days end maybe more
and today it was extra hot here with the high humidity..... it's supposed to continue getting warmer and warmer.... time to get wet under the garden hose ...that's the only way to survive ! LOL
Bob.....

Weather in Cardiff fine, low 20s and slight breeze. I just returned from a 2 hour trip around sunset - very peaceful. Had one big scare though. As I came around a blind corner on a country lane I had to hit the brakes very hard. In the middle of the lane was standing a peacock about 4 foot tall and very plump. Nice colours but far too big to collide with!

We gots billions and billions of cubic feet of hot/dry air.

Wanna work a trade???
Would glady ship you some rain right now but really dont want your record temps. Its raining but still pleanty warm here, and muggy.
Getting a brief reprive from the rain today, I even road the 650 to work. More rain tomorrow, Saturday looks good ( I have a bike/car show to attend) Thank you Lord. Then it all starts again with 12 more days of daily thunderstorms.

28 Celsius at present in Cardiff. Doesn't sound much but apparently it is equivalent to 43 Celsius in Texas and 47 Celsius in Pakistan. The grass is all dried off brown and the ground is starting to crack. I have not seen a slug for several weeks now, not even one hiding by the back door waiting to slip on into the kitchen to eat crumbs off the floor. But we have faith in some ran for tomorrow????

Edit: Temperature peaked at 30 Celsius at approximately 16:00.

TM, their poor mouths are melting. Send your dogs to Wales UK where it is approximately 10 Celsius @ 10:00am and the sky is blue. Weather has cooled off a lot here. Yesterday I put the Winter lining back in my bike coat and glad I did on my little 3 hour journey through the country side.

Well, here in Motown it’s warm (about 30C or 85 deg. F) and stormy-wet. There’s a good sized thunderstorm just starting up and it looks like it will be a damp day - all day.

At 1537hs it's 97F and 34% humidity, Dew point of 64f. A bit drier than yesterday. Thunderhead clouds are all over the skies.
