C3F48464-D91B-44BC-BD43-165AFAEECECB.jpeg Picked up a 75 from the rubbage heap, and decided I needed one more project. Got it home and put it on a weight loss program with the grinder.

Got a visual impact kit and a case of beer and it didn’t turn out terrible. 10.5” rebel shocks of eBay fit pretty good.

Welded some cross members between the rails and cut out a seat pan. Got it bent pretty close to what I’m after

Took apart the triple trees and wasn’t thrilled with the loose ball system. Ordered a all balls tapered bearing set and installed it. Super easy after some help from some guys on here and the steering feels great.

Took the heads and jugs off the motor. Cylinders are out of tolerance, ordered the 750 big bore kit for it. Should be fun. Sent the heads off to the shop to get worked over. Front cam chain guide was pitiful so ordered a new set from mikes. Highly recommend the engine stand from tcbros. Makes life easy. Took out the sump and the screen looked to be in bad shape so ordered one from mikes with a new gasket.

Shot a coat of primer to everything to slow down Mother Nature.

Got the sporty tank in and mounted where I like it, shaved the unnecessary tabs off the front forks as the bike won’t have a front fender. As of now the dragbars are my favorite. Nothin new in the design here but it’s comin together nice.

Nice! Always wondered how this kit handles with the rear shocks on an angle like that. Will keep and eye on your build.
Yea I’m curious as well, time will tell. I think I will put the brass bushing upgrade on the swing arm as well that should help tighten it up and hopefully it won’t turn into a tank slappin b@&$h. I only weigh a buck forty so should be fairly forgiving. But also when you go to messing with harmonics you always have the thought in the back of your mind, it was designed the stock way for a reason.

The cases and jugs are painted, got the heads and cover cleaned up and ready to paint, just need a warmer day.

New crank is here should be bout ready to slap this beast together.
