Redkote tank lining weird thing happened...

I'd be careful with the thinning. The 2nd tank I thinned with a few ounces of Xylene and I thought it didn't seem to adhere as well and a lot of it ran out when I took the petcock plate off. The 3rd tank I didn't thin and turned it over slowly for a good twenty minutes and let it be.
I would also add the motorcycle kit comes in a " up to 10 gallons" size but I use 1 kit per tank. I tried to split it and the coverage was not good so I mixed up the rest and dumped it in.
Oh and follow the instructions to the letter...

Still wanna figure this out. What's wrecking the RedKote? Must be a simple reason. Works for some, and not for others.

Anyone have the time and curiosity to contact RedKote, to read and comment here?

I wonder if there is a possibility that the ethanol in the gas could be in higher levels depending on temperature, age of the fuel under the pump, etc... because this all started (I think) after I moved to a new house and started using gas almost exclusively from the same station.

Years ago I refurbished an XS360 for my wife to learn on. The tank had been treated with RedKote, and it held up just fine with 10% ethanol fuel, which was the only stuff available locally (and no, the gas didn't always come from the same place). Locally I've seen failures with RedKote, applied by credible folks, using the same fuels. This is only a guess, but quality of RedKote may be uneven from batch to batch.
