If the ignition is way too advanced, say about 160°-180° BTDC, the intake valve is still slightly open, and would produce carb spitback...

carb spit back is unfortunately super prevalent in this situation. And unfortunately I have reached my time. So the timing is messed up. I was using a light and had a neighbor help me out. It was very spastic and I feel like it wasn’t even showing me where my tdc marks were on the stator. And the starter fluid wouldn’t start it. In fact after I was a little frustrated the carb spit back made a little fire. There were three separate, seemingly random, times where I could hear it putter and start to keep a rhythm like it was starting and then it faded away.
Alright fellas. I’ve reached my time. I’ll revive this thread when I’m Back. But for now I have to go. Thanks so much for all your help. I’m going to winterize it and then store it for maybe up to a year. Any suggestions there would be appreciated as well. Thanks guys.
