Building my first custom around an XS650 engine but a newbie at this - so I’ve gone with 1” bars and risers cause I like the look of them but need a Jap Brake Master Cylinder that’ll fit 1” bars. I’ve akready bought what I was told was a twin disc Harkdy master cylinder but you guessed it - it turns out to be a single disc only. Any Jap twin disc maters cylinders you know of that fit a 1” bar? Any help appreciated! D

A common 14mm bore 1" bar MC will work fine. In spite of chinese ad copy there really are no twin or single disk MC's, just bore sizes.

I have a 14mm on my royal star driving a pair of FJR 4 pot calipers through banggood stainless brake lines. Took that bike from shite brakes to about good as it gets for an 850 pound pig. Madness has a 14mm master driving two late model XS calipers on SS lines clamping FZR600 rotors (with 7mm spacers), works great.
This page has great info on matching up MC's to Caliper configurations if you want the straight poop on configuring a brake system.

Or if you’re on a budget build you can make an adapter
