Wow 5 years this has sat. Now it has begun. Got the tires mounted today and wheels on seat is on the way and engine has been shipped out. Can't wait to get this done...
75 frame and engine. Xs1 tank. front wheel is a xs1 hub tx750 rear 18 inch rim and spokes. Nothing redrilled all oem. On the rear is a 18 inch tx750 wheel. Toped off with a set of 450-18 firestones I have a tuffside seat coming this week.
The TX750 wheels are very nice. I've been running a set for years. Mine actually have D.I.D. rims. I think Yamaha used them for the 1st couple years of the flanged alloy rim before switching to the Takasago brand. Late model V-Star 650 rear brake shoes will fit the TX750 rear wheel and are plentiful on eBay. Basically, you buy the whole brake plate but just use the shoes .....
