Had to make one for myself so figured might as well make one to share. One side does the caps, other side does the damper rods.

Not sure about the 34mm forks, perhaps one of the gurus can help. If I knew what the earlier forks needed could prolly come up with something.
 
Ceed, pokin' around on here looks like 34mm damper rods are kinda the same but different. Looks like flats are 10mm instead of 17mm, that and the smaller ID of the tubes. What are the caps like on the 34's?
 
Not sure about the caps, I bought a cheap tool for those (a large allen wrench) so I am ok there. I concocted my own tool for the damper rods but it barely survived the one time I had to use it:

I still have it but would like to replace it with something more sturdy; I will take the measurements and post them here later this week.
 
If you can get some measurements that would be great. Sure we can come up with something that will work. Maybe a pic if you've got 'em apart.
