Wanted - XS1 XS2 headlight shell

Would that be the same as the 1972? The one over there to the left of this message?
I could dig it out and post pictures in the morning if by chance anyone knows if it might work.

Yes, it is the same, do you have one for sale?

Ant
Yes have one but condition is not as good as I and probably you might have hoped! The real rusty part is at the bottom. Located in New York State so not sure of shipping costs.

Actually not quite as bad as it looks in the picture, but still not nice as I had hoped. threads in bottom support are good and I actually had to take bracket off to take picture and it came out easy.

That could still be saved. Strip and derust, a little Body filler and primer and you’re good to go!
Guess it all depends on how good one needs it to be. It seems nice and solid and and the only real damage is at the bottom. It even comes with a working high-beam indicator lamp!

I saw those housings on Fleabay so what does the group feel would be a fair price? I understand this would be an international shipment so that would add to the price so I would be VERY open to offers with that in mind.

Just went back and looked at one of those, The one in Texas is asking $199.99 # $14.99 shipping to me! I bought two XS650's around 18 years back for that much! They were about 99% complete but rough and had clear titles!

Yeah these rare bits , where there are no aftermarket reproductions available can command pretty high prices.
As for what it’s worth? I guess that depends on how badly someone wants it. I know I ponied up for a set of beater forks that were only good for parts. Those headlight shells are rather rare.

Hey pics of the lights actually for a 650 but I've got other styles n sizes n colors ud just have to make them fit ur bike but these are the ones for a 650

I'm far from an expert but think that chrome housing is not for an XS1-XS2. The bracket on the bottom does not look right. Scroll up to the pictures of the Rusty Red one I posted. that one I know came off a 1972!
