I'd..didn't read entire of all post..just have to say I've changed mc, on cars, did plenty of brake work for myself bled and have never had a problem as much as front brake on my xs650. I changed the line bled the mc and line and caliper every which way hf didn't have the recommended pump in stock...I wound up bringing the whole bike to local shop and he got the front brake like as good as can be. I can't really say wtf was going on.

Buy one of these and never look back. 20 bucks and it doesn't get any easier. I've never understood why people fight with bleeding brakes.

I keep meaning to make a flat plate with gasket, to cover reservoir, with a nipple in the middle, suck fluid (and air) UP to the reservoir from a container connected to the bleeder.
I had the all plastic Mighty Vac, which I loved, and when I pulled it out to bleed the brake on my XS2, the damn thing was locked up solid. The seals had swelled and the pump wouldn’t work. It’s a shame because I really liked that pump.
