Vintage Bobber Build Thread

Incredible work! Very jealous. Next project is going to have to be a monoshock softy like yours. Again, beautiful stuff going on there

Hi LiveSlow,
yeah, that's one beautiful bike but do schools not teach English Language anymore?
You are not "jealous" at all. What you are is "envious".
Just like me.

On second thought, you’re absolutely right. But yes, I think we are all pretty envious of this beautifully assembled machine!

Well, I'm glad you guys like how the bike is coming together.
I've been working on lots of smaller jobs; foot pegs, rear tail light mount, refurbished switches, gear shift linkage etc. I've also made some aluminium handgrips that I'll wrap with some leather.

Beautiful build ... I like the Sportster mufflers even though they are very heavy.

The sportster mufflers are copies, so are quite light. I have a satin clear that is designed to go over plain steel so I'm intending to just clear coat the tank and fenders.

Hydraulic slave cylinder is now fitted and one piece pushrod cut to length.

Some may not like it but I've got a tool bag for the front to hold all the electric connections. The headlight shell is too small to do the job and there's no where else!

After getting an expensive quote to have the headers made up I decided to get some mandrel bends and have a go myself. So spent this weekend playing around making the headers. I'm pretty happy with the results as it matches the plan in my head.
