Street tracker wheel width

Hi,
I am building an XS650 street tracker. I am using a Radian swingarm and a 140x80x19 rear tire. My question is this: can I use a 2.5 in wide rim with this tire or is it too narrow? I like Exel flanged rims and would like to use them if it is wide enough. Thanks everybody for your help.

Be sure to check your chain to tire clearance. You may have to go to a 520 chain.
