Headlight Mount Extender

I just bought an old school (79?) windshield for my 81. After having it on for a few days it seems
like the windshield needs to be farther out. I think if I just move the shield forward the headlight
will be too far recessed so I'm looking for a way to move the bucket forward about 2-3".

Has anyone here done a simple solution? (I'm just a simple man, oh yes I am)

Looks fine to me. Unless there's a problem with hand/lever clearance. Pushing it more forward could introduce steering problems, like crosswind influence...

The closer it was the more effective it would be as a windscreen. Yours looks better than most; its transparency doesn't add its own weird lines.

2M, XJ thanks for the comments. I leaned forward a little too fast and hit my face shield on the top edge of the screen.
I think that's when I started thinking it needs to go forward. I can't tilt it any farther forward because the edges of the
screen are hitting on top of the fork ears. This also causes the bottom edge of the screen to fall in front of the headlight.
