Why would new-ish coil fail?

I have one of these dual output coils that is only 2 years old and has very few hours on it.
Have pamco electronic ignition and advance.

Parked bike for winter, wouldn’t start in spring, ran fine in the fall.

Battery is charged, tried second good battery as well, no spark.

Tested coil with multimeter and it has infinite resistance between both spark plug wires. These means the secondary is bad, right?

Seems pretty premature to fail?

It may be that your coil is a Chinese knock off .......

Cant tell for sure, but it looks like one Mike's sells that I've had two or three of fail. A coil that works with TCI, maybe your Pamco, don't know, is a Honda "MP08" coil from ebay. It is slightly shorter but easy to adapt. If you buy one, make sure the screw-on caps come with it. It appears to be ultra reliable, even though older.
