hopefully you got your $40 bargain running and now want to make it look good?
First, swap out the stock rototillers for 'bars with better ergonomics and lose the "Mr. Ugly" backrest.
OK, the Heritage megaspoke wire wheels are not to everyone's taste and ANY post '73 XS650 front & ANY drum brake XS650 rear will drop right in.
36-spoke deep groove aluminum rim wire wheels are the best looking BUT the rear's tire is 110/90-18 vs the Special's 139/90-16.
(just about the same OD but narrower so steers a tad quicker and has a tad less straight line stability.)
Or consider swapping to 7-spoke cast wheels. They will run tubeless and are WAY easier to keep clean than wire wheels.
