Another early type ready to go. Fit's all years unless you're using the TCI iggy system (80-83). SOLD

Just out of curiosity can you transform one of the Chinese TDI rotors into a functional work of art?

Be cautious, all art in China has to be approved by the Ministry of Art to insure that no subversive "Rotor Art" is allowed to plant the seed of
revolt and unrest.

To be fair..........Its not the rotor that is a weakness, its the regulator and/or poor battery...........most rotor problems are traced back to a malfunctioning regulator causing the rotor to over work and heat up.........

Or poor connections, the ignition switch is a common problem as well

Agreed Doug. Let me add to that... the insulation on the copper wire is at the end of it's life. When I break 'em apart, what I'm seeing is bare copper wire and a handful of dusty flakes that used to be insulation.

Stock rectifiers are still found
on 77-79’s by myself .
If the stock rectifier failed, could that as well result in a rotor failure following ?

Yep. Stator feeds 3 phase A/C to rectifier. If one or two diodes drop a phase, voltage to the batt is gonna be lower. The regulator will work the rotor harder trying to make up the difference (which it can't).

I’m going with that Jim . For now.
I as well am very excited to install a Jim Rotor on my old 78E soon, before my next start up.
That and the Windy Nation rectifier which is installed.
My VR is just fine.
Next time, it’s going to be a Win !

Jim, have you got any TCI rotors done and ready to ship? My Racetech ring-to-ring is 4.5 over repeated readings; not sure it's carrying its weight anymore

I'm in S. Dakota right now. I can have one ready Wednesday.
