I suffered really badly a couple of years ago and couldn't sleep at all for the ache in my ankles wrists thumbs and elsewhere.
I finally found an amazing relief that worked with 7-10 days ..its worth trying as its cheap and could bring some incredible relief .

I did a bit of research online and decided to start taking Magnesium (375mg daily ) and Vit D3 (3000 IU ) daily and within 7 days I had almost complete relief from the aching in my joints. It has not returned in 2 years although I do still have a little aching in one thumb where I damaged the nerve .

I guess I'm officially old. Looked at the calendar yesterday and realized that today is my birthday. I guess I either forgot or pushed it out of my mind. 10 minuets ago my Mom (she's 96) called to wish me a happy birthday. To be honest I had again forgot today was my birthday. I guess she still remembers the pain I caused her 62 years ago. She did remind me of how hot it was that day. No AC in hospitals then.

Ok this is no S$it. 2 minuets ago I heard a tune that caused me to jump out of my chair and go look. I was the tune the Dilly Bar Wagons used to play. Now it's a mini-van. To slow to get there in time to stop it. How many of you remember when Dairy Queens had 3 wheel Cushmans that went out and sold ice cream products?
 
1. Hippo Birdy, youngster (I'll be 69 in a couple of months...)

2. Haven't heard it yet this Summer but last Summer there was an ice cream truck that made the rounds about once a week. Had a recording of the theme song from some sappy Robert Redford movie I can't remember the name of blasting through crappy speakers on about a 10 second loop. You could hear it from a mile away as it came down one hill into town and went up the other going out of town. It took everything I had to resist the urge to haul out my 12 gauge and blow the speakers off that effin' truck...

Edit: Couldn't stand it, had to Google the song. Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer" from the movie The Sting. Sets my teeth on edge even now...

Since starting this thread in August of 2017, I've thoroughly enjoyed the many sincere contributions.
And in 2018 I turned 65.
No big deal, really.

But I've had a major change of heart about focusing on aging, and I'm going to take the unusual step of suggesting that we shut down this thread, and instead focus on that which makes us feel young, in fact, to be young at heart.

For me, riding my vintage bikes is that which is keeping me alive, keeping me positive and optimistic.

So, I'm starting another thread, "What Makes You Feel Young?" for us Old Farts, in hopes to change the focus.
After all, we are only getting younger, if we want to........
