Some of my friends here in NC have Hagerty for their antique cars and motorcycles. They seem to be happy with their coverages. I was looking for a full value coverage and they seem to be right. Seem..is the key word for i havent dealt with them or any other vintage car/motorcycle insurance companies.
What do you all have and whom would you recommend..???
Hope this isnt like an oil or tar thread..but Thanks for you input.
Ben

Hagerty all the way, every vintage bike I’ve owned. Their coverage is pennies on the dollar for what I paid on a modern motorcycle. You have to meet certain conditions ( there are no limitations on usage ) , but things like , the motorcycle has to be stored inside and it cannot be your primary transportation. It’s good insurance for vintage vehicles.

J C Taylor... agreed value.... bikes must be secured overnight.. used them for years.... :bike:

I agree with Mailman. I have Hager’s on all of my Vintage bikes. All with agreed value. You can also have coverage on bikes that are in the middle of restoring. Only fire and theft.

I have a quote from Hagerty for the 1980 XS650..with an agreed valuation of $5000 the policy is $292 per year..or $150 per 6 months...My friends say that if your bike is totaled you would get the agreed upon valuation..My last vintage bike was totaled and it was Progressive insurance in which I only had liability...I got about half of what it was truly worth and none of it came from my ins. co. but the at fault driver's cheap ass Geico ripoff company...Grrrrrrr:poo::poo::poo:
As far as keeping the bike stored inside..well a plan is in the works to keep the bike in the house..but need to build some ramps off the back deck...
Thanks for the responses...
