Just out of curiosity, I did a local Craigslist search, with the price parameters set at 20K to 50K. Just to see what lives up in the stratosphere. What I found was kind of a surprise. There is a whole sub culture of highly modified custom Harley baggers , I never see bikes like this on the road, I assume this is mostly an extravagant hobby. All of these bikes were listed between $28,000 to $45,000.

Aside from the looks (which aren’t my cup of tea...) I don’t see how those bikes could possibly function as motorcycles in that they would have virtually no ability to turn because there is no ground clearance to permit them to lean in a corner.

I guess I’ve always been a “function over form” person and have never understood styling extremes like that.

They have air ride suspension with an onboard compressor - think lowrider car.
Note the small 1" angle struts protruding from the frame beneath the transmission area. These are what the bike sits on when on display and not being ridden (if at all).

yuk  not my cup of tea at all .

I'm a firm believer in the idioms 'less is more' and 'form follows function' etc
I cannot imagine what they must be like to ride and maneuver through small Towns etc ....bit like sailing an oil tanker round a boating lake with a paddle I should imagine.;)

In a way ,it sorta reminds Me of the current"cafe racer" fad. Cut off the frame right behind the shock mounts, toss the fenders, add clip-on handlebars and a skateboard seat. Replace the tail lights & turn signals with grape sized leds and paint everything flat black. Extra credit for a brown seat cover and wrapped pipes. It should be illegal for some folks to own a sawzall.

...think a hot mama rather be on back of florida cruiser than 1970's stock bike...
...not everyone wants to be standard...
