Now, where was I before I was so rudely interrupted by....work, daughter’s weddings, consulting, insulting, surgery, therapy (physical I assure you) and all that other crap I laughingly refer to as...”my life”.

It’s clean-up day at the Disaster Central Workshop and I have finally gotten my 1981 Special II back in the que for the hoist....

So, my friends, here are a few of the delectable items that I’ll be working with:

I’m stumbling and limping toward the plate Randy - and by the way that LH caliper is the one you found for me.

Peanut - I’d love to do a cap like that but my welding skills aren’t up to it yet.

Coming soon to a thread near you.....watch this space!

Gonna go dual disc, with those slotted rotors? Hope they weigh less than those stock boat anchors......
I am super happy with my single 320 mm ISR disc and Brembo 4 pot caliper. The Brembos have quite a bit larger pistons than the Yam blue spot ones also. Guess I have a "soft spot" for Italian brakes, riding a Duc since 95.......

The XS Performance rotor works great with the stock brake calipers, is significantly lighter, and bolts right on (with spacers provided). :)

True, but they’re $200 CAD each - geezzzz.

I can easily turn the stock slotted rotors down to lighten them...what is the thickness of the XSPerformance units?

Not sure on the thickness, but fairly thin. They weigh about 3 1/2 lbs...vs. the 7 lbs stock rotor.
