If somebody is interested in this bike but doesnt want to keep it original, I would be interested in all blue painted parts, the mufflers, and the carbs, and pay for the shipping if it can be arranged.

I hope this doesn't look bad... First post a classified to sell... but the XS650 I bought with great intentions of light maintenance with fun riding has turned into more of a project than I need right now. Believe me, I've got too many projects!

Really nice unmolested bike overall, it’s unfortunate the tank has suffered a lot of abuse.
The $500 Special in Detroit seems to be gone...too bad.
Lots of nice bikes out there and aside from the obviously over-priced ones, it seems to me that the prices seem to be dropping down into the realistic range.
