So,out on a veteran run albeit on my XS. Into a place called Sunk Island, it’s is in East Yorkshire, or as the locals call it Humberside, a lot of this area is below sea level, but pan flat, ideal for flat tankers. Here are a few photos from the start.
The vehicle AP3504 is the only running example of a water cooled, for and aft,4cylinder Douglas in the world.
As I understand. Unless you know better.

Very nice! There’s some really old iron out there!

We used to have a bloke coming round with a handcart, his battle cry was “ Any old Iron”, he was of course the scrap man. Nowadays in Vintage and Veteran circles the machines are lovingly referred to as, My pile of scrap.
Especially when they won’t start.

Doug,
That photo of the Cassowary is one of my favorites. I can’t believe such a beautiful majestic bird as that just wandered into your property! Beautiful!

You folks truly live among some incredible creatures Doug.

Thanks guys,

The Rain-forest is virtually up to my back yard with a seasonal creek running behind me.........the cassowary is not that much of a frequent visitor to my place. They are the type of bird that gets used to humans, to their detriment, especially when people throw food out to them they are just like big chocks and will run up to you looking for food. This is when they become dangerous and mostly why they are considered dangerous.

Lots of beautiful animals every where, just that some have the colours to attract more..........just like 17 models of XS650's but the 75B is considered the prettiest

Doug,

You have done North Queensland proud.

GeeDub

Thanks G,

Look like the end of the derwent dam wall, to be honest only ever been there once when I walked around the ladybower and Derwent.

I normally get as far as fairhomes visitor center on ladybower and the Cornish pasties make me stop!

Exactly, just up the road from the cafe. The other one is right up at the end of the tarmac road.
