Signal flasher issues

Firstly I do not have the original flashers changed it years ago so no self canceller.
I am noticing that the signals flash very fast, the faster I go the faster they flash eventually
they stay lit (no flash) Do I have a defective flasher or is something else a miss
I have not changed any bulbs recently and all lights are working

Burnt bulb usually causes this. Something worth checking out. I always check all before I ride just to make sure I been seen. J-C

ok thx ,installed new flasher and all good now.Guess these things have a short life.
Non Yamaha part unfortunately

I'd never buy an actual new Yamaha unit. They seem to think they're gold plated or something, lol .....

Found this flasher relay off an old xs special 83 I think, can o use it if so how do I wire. I have a 3 prong connector on my 77, brown, brown with white strap and yellow with green strap, The unit is a 6 wire, yellow with red strap, yellow with green strap, white with green strap, black and brown Thx

That's not a flasher unit, it's the self cancelling unit.
