It took a long while but done and I think I got it to be as close to the picture ED gave me .
So much much thanks to all the vendors that made the special parts that went onto this bike.
Parts came from around the world and many vendors on here.
Now its time to put gas in the tank and go do some test runs before I give it to ED.
SO WHAT DO YOU THINK!
I just changed the oil for the second time so no jokes about the pan LOL

That’s a great looking bike Rich! The seat, tank and pipes really play well together. Do you have any dipstick clearance issues with those pipes?

very nice .... thats the sort of bike that when you see it....... you immediately want to get on and ride the hell out of it :);)
If I had one criticism it would be the mudguards............ I think the bike would look better with them being shorter like the bike in EDs picture ;)

No problem with dip stick Dan made one hell of a set of pipes for me and made sure all worked.
I wanted to shorten the fenders but they were made custom and I would loose the lip if I cut them back but I had to make
the fender support because no one made on high enough.
Tank was made overseas have to ask ED but it was a weird metal . I lost money in trying to powder coat it just would not take. Tried three times
Took me 5 times to paint it until I used a stripper on the metal and 5 coats of clear are on it. Something was deep in the metal and just bubbled the power coat and paint. Now if he gets tied of the clear it can get a color.
Seat was also custom made and hade to make supports also.
This is just one of 6 bikes that I am finishing up this year.
The other is a RAT BIKE that's done and up for sale and a chopped sportster on the table for a friend in Texas and started the mono shock XS650 plus two in pieces. So been busy
Thanks guys this bike does look like its going fast standing still.

I had the tank custom made by Meadows Motorcycle: https://www.facebook.com/meadowsmotorcycles/

I asked them to make a Kawasaki w650 style gas tank that would fit a Yamaha XS650. It cost me $750 shipped to my door. I really liked the old Triumph gas tanks but I always preferred center mount for the filler cap. The Kawasaki tank seemed like the best of both worlds to me.

I agree! It is a real honor to have Rich do this bike from me. I originally came to Rich to buy this motor for my frame and decided to leave the motor with him and give him my frame to build this bike! The shape of the tank was critical for me and I spent the extra dollars to get this custom made in Thailand for me. It was up to Rich to use his wizardry skills to make everything fit together. I wanted a bit more of a Brit style with Japanese reliability.

What no one is commenting on the pink tires on you four wheeler? Wonder if I could get some in the size to fit my Sportster?
