Getting my tank dents sorted out and painted and wanted to know best way to stop any rust forming. It will need to be flushed as the spot weld studs and a slide hammer will be used. What should I use to coat inside during the paint process. It won't take long a week max.
Thanks

A method I have used to dry a tank out is to tip as much water out as you can.
Close the fuel taps and pour in half a litre of meths. Slosh it around and tip out as much as you can. Meths is a spirit and mixes with water and evaporates quickly. Meths also is miscible with petrol.

Leave in a warm place to dry. Put about 200ml of clean oil or diesel in and slosh that around to coat the inside of the tank. Flush tank with fuel before use.

If its only a week you should not have too many problems.
