Newbie question #2. Previous owner replaced stock rear shocks with aftermarket, raising the height of the bike. I sit fine on it BUT I am a shorter dude and would like it lowered a bit. What is the shortest rear shock that can be installed to lower the bike but won't have tire rub on frame, seat and other bits? I am 150lbs so I don't lower it much as it is.

Honda Rebel shocks.
Use the search function top right, push “more” type key words. Search for all those Rebel shock threads
:sneaky:

I threw some 11"r's on once. Side stand no longer functioned as stock and you had to be King Kong to put her up on the service stand.....of course you could keep a length of 2X4 in yer pocket to roll the rear tire up on to ease the strain.......

tried the rebel shocks on mine but took them off fairly quickly , found them to hard , almost like riding a hard tail .. kidneys hated them .. trouble was had already shortened the side stand so then had to find another sidestand so dont do what i did and take it for a good ride first before cutting the s/stand it will only just stand up if your careful where you park but enough to decide if the rebels are for you

I'll add.....with the shorter shocks on and the bike on the side stand, a stiff wind came through and knocked her over. Busted the front brake lever and caused some embarrassment, oi! Don't tell anyone......
