Do we have build threads for most of the bikes here on the calendar? Some are the first time for me to see them. They look great and I'd like to learn more.
Here is mine (rehar):

Here is my build thread, and a couple of more pics.

And must say….really surprised and greatful that my bike are liked by so many….Thank You!!
I mean, there are some bikes in this vote that are REALLY nice bikes....and so many different styles!!! Nice to see the wonderful and beautiful original restorations, choppers, trackers and many more!
I Think that's why the XS is so loved...you can do sooo much with them with some imagination and personal ideas!

Anders.

is that the neutral light on the shift lever ? great idea. i used the same bar end lights for turn signals
Yeah it is. With the tank shifter neutral is a little tougher to find so it really helps to have it right there. Thanks for the support and votes too everyone for my bike.

So, I suppose since the poll is officially closed, the question must be asked- with 11 bikes 40 votes or more, and 3 bikes tied at 38 votes, which two of the three will take months 12 and 13? Will we have a tie breaker vote for the 3 bikes at 38 votes? A collage month with the three tied bikes, or a few months with two featured bikes? Inquiring minds want to know!

I wish there was more chopper style bikes in the calendar voting process right now. Even though I pretty much have the only chopper here and may potentially not win a spot on the calendar, I wish at least other chopper style bikes were in the running that could win a month so there's something on there representing the artistry of a chopper build. I love restos, trackers, cafe builds....etc. but having a calendar that covers and shows ALL of the different styles of love we have for these bikes would really be cool. A calendar with new school choppers, old school restorations, trackers, cafe's, bobbers, scrambler style bikes all on the same calendar....now that would be an XS650 calendar that every one of us could relate to somewhere throughout it and appreciate it.

Maybe in the future we could do calendar voting with "style catagories" of these types of builds. Like 3 calendar months devoted to resto's, 3 months devoted to cafe's/tracker's, 3 months devoted to chopper's, and 3 months devoted to bobber's/brat's. Then once we have the 3 highest voted bikes in each catagory, we could stagger the styles throughout the calendar year and you'd literally have a new style for every month when you flip your calendar. Just a thought that I think would really show the versatility of these bikes and the artistry of everyone's different build styles.

It really comes down to what gets nominated each year and what people like. In 2014, 5 of the 12 bikes that made the calendar were hardtails.

This has happened before, but with just two bikes competing for the last spot. Someone above them wasn't able to provide photos in time, so it worked itself out and they both made it in. In this case, I think we'll do a one-day vote for just the three bikes to determine the order. And if someone above them drops out, they'll all make it in anyway.

Here's the list! Congrats to the top 11! The last three with 38 votes each will get sent to another vote soon.

Hey, so if they are in the order the will appear, that will make mine October. That is my birthday.

Weird how things happen........

Darn, I missed by one day to select the bikes for the calendar. I only recieved the email the day before. What ever it turns out to be, Those bikes all looked good. Keep up the good work all you restorers. I'm still working on my 78 xs650. all in pieces now.

Dude, clean up the shop!
Bike looks great, looks like many hard hours of work

I love the hard work you have done to build a retro chopper. After building a 103 inch H.D. custom, I know the labor of love.
Still have it in the garage too.
